After spending most of the morning at Alishan we headed down to Fenchihu and went in search for the famous Railway Bento Box.
The story behind is that this was a great railway station and these are the boxes they would sell for lunch. Except that it was in metal tins. It contains rice, chicken and some veggie and a pork chop also.
For $100NT you can’t go wrong!
After this we took another walk around the town and found this interesting concoction. Ice Cream with shaved peanut brittle in a crepe, rolled into an egg roll!
Next we bought some sugared small apple which were quite nice.
Next up, we went searching for Chow Ah Guay. Basically a steamed dumpling with meat and veg inside. Cooked in an outside cylinder.
Then we went back to get a Railway Bento to take back for dinner.
And then we decided to get a second one from a different place.
Our next stop was for Aiyu Jelly Drink with Sour Plum at 愛玉伯ㄟ厝
Finally we headed back to the SeasonStar for the night and had a nice tea break before our da bao Lunchbox Bento dinner.
