A day trip out of Taipei found us at Hualien for a trip into Tarako Gorge.
We stopped to get lunch first, the Taiwanese Bento Box along with some roast meats, as next door there was a roast meat joint with a chef from Hong Kong.
The tour of Tarako Gorge was beautiful, such great sights to see and behold. Really beautiful.
As was the snacks we got to eat on the train ride back.
Our taxi driver said that there were 2 specialties that we had to try in Hualien.
The Spring Onion Pancake wrapped around an egg with chili and sweet sauce.
It was a little too sweet for me, and a little greasy.
Then there were the dumplings. Quite nice and I love dumplings!
