Another birthday celebration and this time it was off to the restaurant at the SAF Yacht Club in Sembawang for Lyman. It’s quite a bit of a hike to get up there, so we were hoping the food was going to be worth it.
We were seated outdoors, but the water, with a nice view of the boats and the Strait, and Johor Bahru in the background.
On to the food. I had heard that this place was known for its Curry Fish Head, so we definitely ordered it. I have to say, it was okay, a little too thick for me, the veggies were okay, the fish, not a lot of it. It was just okay for me.
The Claypot Crab Vermicelli was a little greasy and dry at the same time. Not really a great dish.
Herbal Chicken. I didn’t eat it, but those who did said it was a little dry.
Prawn and Egg Omelet. It looked really greasy.
Some Wu Xiang and Fish Cake. This was not bad at all, nicely made and tasted pretty good.
Overall, I wouldn’t say it was a great meal. Not worth the drive all the way up to eat here. I don’t think I’ll be back.
