I met up with some friends for a dinner in Shenzhen after a meeting, and there is an underground shopping link that connects Coco Park and the MTR there to the Convention Center MTR side. This is full of little restaurants and cafes and is a nice place to grab a bite as you go home, travel through, etc.
We chose 浙礼 Zhe Li because there is usually a huge queue for this place, but at this time there was no queue at all, so we decided to get in while we could.
It is a restaurant that serves Hangzhou cuisine and they are known for little dishes and we ordered a bunch to sit around and have a good laugh.
First was the Hangzhou Spare Ribs. Sweet was all I could say! But pretty nice.
Some smoked duck. A little too smoky for me.
Wood ear fungus with garlic, a cold dish. Crunchy and not bad at all.
Some fresh prawn dumplings. Very wanton-like and very good.
Stir fried squid with chili peppers. Quite fragrant and well done. Not too spicy at all.
They are known for their noodles also. This is some meat with a spicy peanut like sauce. Quite different and nice.
Simple sesame oil noodles.
Oh yeah, meat buns!
All in all, not a bad meal. I can see the attraction of the place, small dishes and lots of different things to try.
