Xiamen is a pretty underrated part of China in my opinion.  The scenery is nice, the weather nice and the food is great.  Being right on the sea and so close to Taiwan, there is a great seafood culture here.

红砖厝海鲜酒楼 is one of the restaurants which are located right on the strait, where you can see Kinmen (Taiwan).  The tanks are there and the food is awesome.

Here we go!  Some fresh Praying Mantis Prawn with Salt and Pepper. Fresh as anything!

How about some large prawns? So juicy and amazing!

Then there is fresh Abalone.  And so cheap!  5 RMB each!

And of course some fresh fish!

It takes a little to get out there to the restaurant, but the food and views make it an experience.  A touristy thing to do, but the price is not that much greater than others.
