うどん伊呂波 – Harajuku, Japan

What happens when you just go looking for a place to eat?  You wind up with great experiences, and find places to eat that you don’t expect.  うどん伊呂波 is such a case.

We were walking around Harajuku after jaunts to KiddyLand and Daiso and looking for interesting noodles.  After our craving for Ramen was taken care of, it was time for something more.  We found うどん伊呂波 and decided to head in, right before the big lunch rush.

It’s a small little shop and quite easy to miss actually.

After looking at the menu, it was a little traditionally Japanese, but also Japanese-Italian fusion.  Lena decided to go more traditional with a Clear Broth Beef Udon.  Tasted nice and smooth.

I decided to embrace the Japanese-Italian fusion, and a lot of people seemed to order this one.  It is a tomato sauce with Japanese mushrooms and an egg with Udon.  Such a great taste!
