A late night dinner of Okonomiyaki. Yes, it’s an Osaka specialty, but that doesn’t mean they don’t do it well in Tokyo. And right outside Shinagawa Station is Kiji, which serves a great Okonomiyaki. The place is not big at all, in fact, how many big places are there in Tokyo?
The menu has a wide variety
I decided to go with Modan Okonomiyaki. The difference is that instead of flour pancake as the filling, it contains Yakisoba and egg. The filling is Beef Tendon for this. Grilled up and served up for you!
Onto the griddle goes my Okonomiyaki
Sizzling away
Finished!
It’s best to sit at the counter here to, as it is served right in front of you. You take your spatula, cut and get your portion
While you eat, watch them make orders for those that are seated at tables rather than the counter.
A great, but really carb heavy meal.
