Swee Choon – Jalan Besar

There are a few Dim Sum places in Jalan Besar, and this is my first time to try them.  My friend and I went to Swee Choon, which is one of his favorites. Here is their menu
Dim Sum is always judged by me with Har Gow. Swee Choon’s is good!
Siew Mai is ok, not perfection.
Spring Rolls were nice, but still not sure why Worcestershire Sauce is not served with Spring Rolls in Singapore. Maybe it’s just a HK (or NY) thing.
Beancurd Skin with Prawn
Fried Yam Roll (not really my (j)yam)
Portuguese Egg Tarts
Chicken Feet – a complete miss on this one, taste was not good
Char Siew Bao
Then two National Day Specials – Fried Mee Sua Kueh with Chili Crab Sauce and Fried Mantou with Chili Crab Sauce inside.
The Mee Sua was a complete miss – just didn’t have it. The Fried Mantou was nice, but nicer when you get Chili Crab and smother a Mantou with the sauce 👍
Dessert was Mango Pomelo Sago and Almond Jelly Longan.
Price point is good, not bad for Dim Sum.
