I always thought Greek food in Singapore was tough to come by and not so good. But Bakalaki changes my opinion on that!
The space is light and airy and inviting. The food is even better!
We started with Pita and three spreads:
– Melitzanaosalata Agioritiki – Eggplant with Red Peppers – quite enjoyable and better than your average Babaganoush
– Tyroafteri – Spicy Feta with Greek Yogurt and Red Peppers – this one was a star, outstanding
– Hummus – You can’t have Pita without Hummus
The star of the show however was the Octopus. Wow, so good! Tender, seasoned perfectly, it is such a great reminder ofhow good and fresh Greek cuisine is.
The Kebab was also juicy and soft, not dried out as it is in a lot of cases.
