煌庭川小馆 is located on Zhouqiao Old Street in the Jiading District in Shanghai. The building is built in the nice old style and specializes in Sichuan cuisine.

This means lots of spice, ma la, etc. It did not disappoint.

First off was a Ma La Crab, and then a variety of Ma La/Chili dishes – Beef, Pork, Prawn and Chicken.

Wow, the sting and then the lingering effect, and then it’s gone. Perfectly done.

Ma Po Tofu was good, not great, but it had the good flavors to it.

How about Veggies? Some with Chili and some without.

Then some dishes without Chili – Steamed Fish, Prawn with Vermicelli, Fried Prawns. Some good relief from the heat.

And then some Dan Dan Noodles to finish it off.

Beautiful place, but watch out for the spice!
