XO Bak Chor Mee and Satay – Newton Food Court

We went for a late dinner after the photoshoot, and the closest place to eat was Newton.  We were all starving.

Known for seafood, we really didn’t want any of that as we wanted quick food and were hungry.  We ordered batches of Char Kway Teow, Hokkien Mee and Oyster Omelette, but I decided to try something I hadn’t tried before – XO Minced Meat Noodles.

The signs say open 24 hours and it has been featured on television programmes.  So I tried.

It wasn’t bad, a little small in portion.  A little spicy, but the noodle was nice.  I don’t think I would go for it many times, but once in awhile I would enjoy it.

We also ordered chicken and pork satay from Stall 30.  A random selection and it turned out great.  The satay nice and flavorful and juicy.
