Lucky Char Kway Teow – Old Airport Road

Situated right across from the very popular Lao Fu Zhi, it has, in my mind, the best Char Kway Teow at Old Airport Road. Run by an older couple, the uncle takes the orders while the auntie cooks.

The Char Kway Teow here is nice and light, not too greasy and it is a little sweeter than normal ones.  I like it very much because it has some greens and some bean sprouts, but the flavor is all incorporated nicely.

So the next time you’re in Old Airport Road and Lao Fu Zhi is queuing a mile long, just go across.  You’ll get a better meal.

  1. Nonsense. The uncle’s service is one of the worst I have ever met. Now I understand why people still queue lao fu zi despite it’s long queue.
