Yummy Thai – Old Airport Road

The quest continues to eat at all the stalls at Old Airport Road.  I quite fancy this Thai stall there, the food is pretty good, it’s quite authentic at times.  The selection is limited, but it’s good for the standards like Pad Thai, Green Curry, Mango Salad, Fried Rice, etc.  So when I am in a pinch and want some Thai food, here is where I go.

It is located in the small, less busy side of Old Airport Road, by the Taiwan Porridge at the far end, away from the Wantan Mee and Char Kway Teow stalls.  A little quieter, but it doesn’t mean bad food.

Here we went with the standard Pad Thai.  Some prawns, fish cake, egg and noodles.  Very nicely fried, not too oily and good tasting.  Watch out for that chili powder though, it is hot!

And the Mango Salad is also quite nice.  The dressing is nice and sharp, the ingredients fresh as can be.  If you watch them make it, they use the mortar and pestle and grind their dressing altogether to make it taste better.

Your only choice for Thai at Old Airport Road is a good one!
