In a country and city that has a ton of Korean BBQ, sometimes you keep coming back to the same places. Such is the place for Bulgogi Brothers in Myeongdong. I’ve been here a few times for the BBQ, mainly because some of my colleagues don’t want to head far for food, and the language barrier is ok here.
Now, the BBQ here is pretty good, but at lunchtime, they have specials that don’t involve BBQ, so why not try it and see if it also lives up to a good billing? So off we went for lunch!
The lunch special was a nice stew of vegetables and meat, along with sides.
The salad was a shaved beef with salad. Fresh and quite nice.
Next up was a pumpkin and potato soup. Quite an interesting taste.
A little bit of banchan for us as we prepared for the main meals.
Time for the main stew! Vegetables and some beef underneath. It was thrown on the flame and allowed to simmer away.
The finished product!
Nice and sweet, great flavor and great balance.
As part of the meal there were two more dishes. The first was a nice spicy tofu dish. Great flavor and I always love this with rice.
These were noodles with a spicy sauce and some radish. Not my favorite, but the taste was ok.
The bottom line – Bulgogi Brothers can also do BBQ. It’s not cheap and it’s more of the “in” crowd place, but I like it and I will be back.
