Wanton Mee – White plate or Green plate? That’s the battle of the Wantan Mees at Tanjong Katong.  After the original owners of Eng’s Wantan Mee sold it to a group, the relatives decided to open on the other side of the street – Eng’s Char Siew Wantan Mee.  So naturally, the debate began.The menu is basically the same at both places. The family of the original owners, this place, have white plates.  The original location, they have green plates.  Thus, White or Green plates is the debate.

For me, the original, White, seems a bit better for me. Noodles more biting and I like the taste just a bit more. Tough call though.The Fried Wonton are a little greasy, but still good. The Green plates are now franchised all around the island, while the White plates have this one shop.  I like the White Plate.
