It was with great anticipation that I made my reservation to eat at Lucali. After all I am a Pizza Snob and I miss my New York City Pizza so much.

I’ve said many times that the pizza scene in Singapore is pretty pathetic except for a few stars that are few and far between.

So Lucali opening here, I hoped to get my fix for NYC Pizza. I wasn’t disappointed. The pizza crust was magnificent, thin yet chewy, just enough to hold shape when bent in half for the perfect slice.

As a purist, I got the original – Cheese and Basil. That was all I needed to be a happy man.

I miss you so much NYC Pizza.

The Pesto was also better than any other pasta I have had in Singapore also. I will be back!
