Eggslut debuted in Singapore with huge fanfare and huge lines, up to a 2 hour wait, so I do what I always do when these things first show up – wait a few months to let the hype die down.
A few months later when there was no queue around lunchtime, I made my way over and never waited to get in.
I went for the Fairfax – scrambled eggs, cheddar, carmelized onions and sriracha mayo – and also added bacon. What a messy joy to eat. The bacon could have been crispier, but the sandwich was tasty!
Next up was the Gaucho – Tri Tip, Chimichurri, onions and arugula – and I changed the over medium egg to scrambled. Another nice sandwich, though the tri tip was a little tough.
A Flat White to go with it all made it a nice meal, expensive, but nice.
