I always walk by Choon Guan at the coffeeshop at Old Airport Road and there is always a very long queue. I have often wondered why.
One day after dropping my son off at school, there was amazingly no queue! So I took the chance to order me some Fishball Mee Pok.
The first I noticed was the minced pork on the Mee Pok. Then the different varieties of fishcakes and fishballs. It was more like a bowl of noodles that were giving me the spectrum of tastes.
All of those were pretty good, though none really stood out.
The Mee Pok though was springy and the sauce with a chili which was a little sweet and spicy really made it for me.
Give me extra noodles next time!
Worth the long queue? Maybe. But no queue, yes, go for it!
