Barbecue is huge in Nashville, and one of the oldest institutions for it is Martin’s BBQ. In the South, it’s all about BBQ!
Here we had a great half slab of ribs, half with the dry rub and half with the wet sauce. The ribs were tender and fall off the bone and full of taste. Coming from whole pigs which they roast every day, it has all the bones, soft bones, meat and great taste of the slow cook. Awesome.
This came with Southern staples Mac and Cheese and Hushpuppies. Carbs to fill out the meal!
The we also had BBQ Chicken with a Cornbread Pancake (dry) and Green Beans (absolutely terrible – overcooked and devoid of flavor).
