The Public Izakaya – Tanjong Pagar

The Public Izakaya in 100AM is another of those places that I always walk by but never try – until now.

We were lucky enough to get a booth and kind of feel like we were in Japan for a bit. And the food was good to match.

Some fresh Sashimi to start. The standard fare, but done well and very fresh.

Fried Chicken Skin, Prawns and their signature Fried Chicken was fresh and crispy.

To relieve the oil, some Cabbage with Miso Sauce, Cucumbers and Edamame.

A mini-Okonomiyaki was nice as were some Fishcakes.

Beef Brisket and Tendon were smooth.

The interesting one to me was a Croquette stuffed with Gyoza filing. Very interesting.

Good food and an extensive menu here. A really good place but it will put a dent in your wallet.
