Five Daughter’s Bakery is a well-known institution in Nashville’s 12 South neighborhood.
The donuts are made by layered croissant-type dough and then frosted and/or filled.
Here is a Purist (just glazed) and a Vanilla Cream. Both were so sweet! But they were flaky for sure.
We also went for a Blueberry Lemon (awesome but totally too sweet) and the King Kong (buttercream and bacon, very sweet and savory at the same time).
A donut is a meal here, but it was so sweet I couldn’t really enjoy it.
