Gurney Drive – Causeway Point

Went for dinner and this section of Causeway Point is newly renovated and opening featuring new restaurants.  We chose Gurney Drive to try some Penang food from this chain.

There was Belechan Fried Rice.  The dark things are marinated chicken thigh.  Who knew?

Penang Assam Laksa.  Yum.

King of Cendol!  Cendol with Durian on top.

Ampla Juice.  I have only been able to find this in Penang.  I love it’s taste, along with the Sour Plum that goes in it.

Penang Char Kway Teow.

Lor Bak.  Nicely done!

Grilled Seafood Platter.  Lena said Crayfish and Prawn was nice, the Stingray and Sotong pretty good.

Penang Specialty Soup.  It has Fishballs, Meatballs, Fuzhou Fishballs and Tang Hoon.

And served with You Tiao too.

The food not bad.  About 3X more expensive than actually going to Gurney Drive and eating at the seaside hawker centre, but nonetheless, the food was pretty good.
