If I am in Hong Kong, and I have time and am on the Kowloon side, I will always make a stop at Chan Kee Roast Goose on Reclamation Street, right off of Argyle Street in Mongkok. It’s hidden away a little bit, but the food speaks volumes. I’ve taken many people here when we’ve been in Hong Kong and it’s just great.
I got in late to Hong Kong, but at 10pm, this place is still open and roaring with business.
It was late and I was hungry, so of course, I just want something nice, not too big. Roast Goose of course. But I needed something else. Char Siew. I miss Hong Kong Char Siew, so nice and a little fatty. So there it is, Roast Goose and Char Siew Rice. HKD$40. Done.
Look at the lovely Goose on the left and the nice Char Siew on the right. It was so lovely, I almost did not take the picture because I wanted to dig right in.
Have a closer look.
A must go for me when I am in Hong Kong. My comfort food at its best.
