At the Resorts World Sentosa, there is a nice little food place called Malaysia Food Street. They try to replicate some of the best street foods found in Malaysia, and they do a pretty good job.
The decor inside makes it look like old streets with the stalls.
First up was Chicken Rice Balls.
Instead of a bowl of rice, the rice is turned into little balls. You can pick them up and eat them with the chicken.
The chicken itself is pretty tender, not a bad little piece of chicken.
The rice balls are nice and sticky and dipped in the sauce and eaten with the chicken, quite nice.
Next, you have to go for Penang Char Kway Teow. It’s a little nicer than Singapore style for me. It has more freshness and it’s less greasy to me.
Take a look at it and you can see that it looks more lively and tasteful than the Singapore version. This one is quite nice, that’s for sure.
And then we went for Penang Assam Laksa.
I quite like this, as it’s a little sour, but it has a real nice taste to it. It really melds together quite nicely.
This place is a little expensive, as it is on Sentosa and at a tourist trap. But it’s worth some eating while you’re there. Not as good as Malaysia itself, but it is a good representation of what they have.
