I keep hearing about this Prata. How it’s nice and crispy, yet fluffy, and the Prata is made by hand all the time and sometimes the queue can be a long one. So of course I need to try it!
Located off of Joo Chiat Road on Crane Road, it’s in a little coffee shop on the corner. As advertised, the queue was long, and it was all homemade. So I placed my order with Mrs. Mohgan and waited patiently.
Mr. Rohgan works pretty hard, he makes the dough himself, then rolls it all out depending upon what you order.
Ready to be served!
Went with two regular Prata and one Egg Prata.
The regular Prata was nice and crispy on the outside, but the inside was really fluffy. The taste is amazing and just makes you want to eat more. In fact, I wish I ordered more than just two!
The Egg Prata was also quite nice. The egg a little overdone though, but the same applies here, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
This place lived up to the hype, that’s for sure. The queue was quite long on this day, I waited about 20 minutes for my order. Mrs. Mohgan explained to me that it’s hard for her to get helpers, and on this day, there was just her and her husband, so she was everything but the cook.
You must try this place, you will not be disappointed in it at all, in fact, you will either order more or count the days until you want to come back.
