Scotland. Glasgow. What to eat, what to eat? We actually went looking for Haggis, and we figured the Drum & Monkey would have it. But in this nice downtown eatery, we had to go for the renowned UK staple Fish & Chips and Mac & Cheese. Why not!
Located about a block or two from the main George Square, and one block from Buchanan Street, it’s quite a nice looking old bank building.
We started with some Onion Rings, a little greasy but quite nice.
They say you have to have Mac & Cheese in Scotland. So why not? Creamy and rich, a nice one!
The our Fish and Chips. Absolutely huge! The piece of Cod was nicely firm and soft inside, the batter nice and not too thick. The Chips were good also. Mushy Peas that you see, I think I’ll just leave that out.
Good lunch, and filling as we toured Glasgow on a rainy Sunday afternoon!
