I have heard about this place for a long time. How the Crayfish Hor Fun at Tuck Kee was one of the must eats, but you had to queue for a long time to get it. One day, we decided to go and queue and try this celebrated Hor Fun.
Located in one corner of Hong Lim, it’s a little tough to find on the first try. But we found it!
The queue was okay on this Monday morning at 11:30am. A brief overview of their board with menu.
It took 20 minutes to get to the front of the queue. The uncle cooks, the auntie plates. The menu is on the left. There’s a little bit of variety, but really, like there’s a choice, you get the Crayfish Prawn Hor Fun for $8.
And here it is. This is worthy of Michelin if you’re going for hawker food Michelin stars.
Check out the Crayfish, it’s a decent size. The prawns are a bit deceiving as they are sliced in half, but fresh and quite large. The gravy is a great complement to the soft Hor Fun. Not too salty, and it’s really a great dish of noodles.Definitely up there with the best. Go and Queue!
