East Coast Road has a lot of little places to eat and the Banh Mi at Sandwich Saigon looked inviting. Located across from i12, it looked like a place to stop and grab one.
It wasn’t too busy when I stopped in around 2pm. Everyone was a little sleepy. Though they advertise the Banh Mi, they have quite a number of different items.I went with the Saigon Special – Pork Belly and Ham. The baguette was pretty awesome. Baked on premises, it was crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside.
The vegetables were nice and fresh and crisp.
The meat was a little bit of a let down. Another slice or two of each and it would have been a great Banh Mi, instead, it was a veggie sandwich.
I’ll have to try the non-Banh Mi items sometime.
