Heartlands hawker centres – there are gems and there are duds.  Hup Hup is closer to a gem.

The aunty is a little bit rough and short with you, but hey, that’s part of the appeal.  The Bak Chor Mee comes in 2 sizes.  Big or Small.  This is Big. It’s not a bad plate of Bak Chor Mee.  The noodles are nice and the chili is pretty good.  The only thing I didn’t like were the fried disks.  They were quite greasy and oily, a little unappetizing.
