The Local – Bangkok

Sometimes you need to go into the Sois to find good places to eat.  Not even the street food, but there are plenty of restaurants that are to be discovered.  The Local is one of them.

Near Sukhumvit Soi 23, it’s a house and it’s pretty set back and a great ambience.

The place actually doesn’t have many locals, seemed to me like everyone there was non-Thai.  But, that doesn’t mean the food isn’t any good. Started off with Pomelo Salad.  The Pomelo was so refreshing that it eased off the spice, and the slight saltiness with the sweet – just perfect. Pork Rib Red Curry.  Soft and tender, very northern Thai. This is Crab in their own homemade Yellow Curry.  Quite spicy!A nice meal in a quaint little house.  It is more expensive than other Thai places, but that’s to be expected in places like this.
