I have to be honest with you, I just don’t understand the Mala Xiang Guo or Mala Tang craze that is in Singapore.

Maybe it’s because I am not a huge Mala or Steamboat fan, but I just don’t see it.

That said, I am willing to try anything so when some friends chose Yang Guo Fu and Mala Tang, I was game to try.

A friend and I were newbies to this, so we just pointed and chose what we wanted for the two of us.

S$38 later we had a bowl of Mala Tang! 😳

Yup, still don’t understand it and it will still be quite low on the priority list for me. Can’t say it was anything special at all, especially at that price. It tasted like a normal bowl of noodles for me at a high price.
