Pi Food – Dhoby Ghaut

Pi Food is another of the restaurants being opening by ex-chefs of large well-known restaurants.

The interior is a little industrial looking.

Pi Food is opened by ex-Lei Gardens sous chef Tsang Tak Ching and is based on Cantonese comfort food.

So when I tried it I went for my comfort – Wonton Noodle Soup, Fried Beef Hor Fun and HK Milk Tea

The Wontons were pretty nice and the noodles spot on, but the soup wasn’t flavorful enough for me. The bowl wound up being a little bland for me.

The Hor Fun was nice, not so oily but lacked a Wok Hei to it.

While good and comforting, there are better versions out there.
