Beansprouts and Chicken. That is probably the major dish that people come to Ipoh to eat. If you come, you have to have it.
Lou Wong is one of the most well-known for this dish, and on this date I was lucky enough to get the second to last dish – at 7:30pm! They usually close at midnight!
I went with what everyone says you should get – Chicken and Bean Sprouts. But instead of Rice, I went for the Ipoh Hor Fun.
The Chicken was tender, not tough at all. It was a little salty, but not by too much. The Bean Sprouts were crispy and biting. Perfect compliment. And the Hor Fun – silky, soft and melt in your mouth actually. The Hor Fun in Ipoh is totally different than anywhere else.
I am glad I did not get to miss this experience!
