Mott 32 – Marina Bay Sands

Mott 32 is one of those places we reserve for special occasions. Because we know we wouldn’t be regulars at the place because of price for one thing, but also because it screams “special occasion”!

We chose it to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

We started off with the Crispy Sugar Coated Peking Duck Bun. We were not expecting it to be Black in color though. But the taste on the inside was quite nice. Delicate and while close to a Char Siew Bao taste, it still had the Peking Duck taste.

Next was Grilled Iberico Pork with Yellow Mountain Honey – or for the layman – Char Siew. This was so tender and just the right amount of fat.

Sticky Black Cod with Mustard Yuzu Sauce. So tender and melt in your mouth. Just absolutely amazing.

King Crab Casserole with Crab Roe and Vermicelli. This one was also everything you could ask for. Full of flavor and aromatic.

A complimentary Coconut Ice Cream to top off the special occasion. Great choice!

One item that is interesting – my father, when he came to the US, lived at 65 Mott Street. I remember it fondly from my visits to his uncle who lived there until he passed.
