L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele is one of the oldest pizzerias in the world and featured on Eat, Love, Pray. So I passed by and had a hankering for Pizza, so I went in to try it.

I didn’t go for the traditional pizza, but instead went for the Ripieno al Forno. Ripieno is what we know in the US as Calzone, but not as fluffed up.

Inside of this is a blend of Ricotta, Pecorino and Mozzarella, Ham and Salami, and some tomato sauce. Folded in half and baked with a bit of tomato sauce on the top.

Man, so good. The crust is unbelievable. Brought me back to home to New York City.

One is enough to feed an army.

I can’t say enough about how good this was.
