In the back of Old Airport Road, by Tiong Bahru Lor Mee and Blanco Court Kway Chap, there is a little Char Kway Teow stall run by an old uncle. He still uses ceramic plates to serve his Char Kway Teow and he cooks 2-3 portions at a time. He closes by 2pm as well. It’s a little slow, but is it worth the wait?
You order and then you eat. I have to say, I was a little disappointed. I didn’t find much flavor in it at all. It wasn’t sweet, it wasn’t spicy, it wasn’t salty. It was just there. There were a lot of prawns, sotong and fish cake and hom, but it just never came together for me.
I’ll stick with Lucky. I find that one much better.
