Part of my exploration with Kevin Cox of Foodwalkers.com at the Tampines Round Market found us getting the Sarawak Kolo Mee set.
This stall is very popular and always has a long queue, but the wait is worth it. Here you see Kevin waiting his Kolo Mee.
There are a lot of different varieties of noodles you can get here, but what they’re known for his the Wonton Mee and the Kolo Mee.
We ordered the Special Sarawak Kolo Mee set.
Now, real Kolo Mee from Kuching or Sarawak does not have this many ingredients. Only Char Siew, Noodles and Vegetables. Here you have Wonton, Dumpling, Pork Rib Ends and Fried Wonton. It’s a lot of food!
The noodles are definitely Kolo Mee, real nice, a little lard to make it nice and greasy and flavorful. The other ingredients are nicely made as well too. Mix it all together and it’s a great meal.
I understand the wait.
