Brunch is another thing that is quite popular in the Seattle area. Thus, we decided to try some brunch, but we decided on Creole-style! Roux in Fremont has gotten some great reviews.
We got there around 1:30pm on a Saturday, there wasn’t much of a crowd and we were seated immediately. A nice atmosphere inside for sure.
We started with the Beignets. Pillowy soft, the sugar excellent and not too oily from the frying.
A little Jambalaya. Spiced nicely, and the shrimp on top seasoned and fried to perfection.
Chicken Fried Steak, the southern staple, with some eggs on top. The eggs are a nice touch, the fried, not so much great. But the steak was great!
